Mini Make Day 3 – Wearable Art Show – Library at The Dock
Library at the Dock was host to the third Mini Make Day on the last weekend in August. As part of Melbourne fashion week, the theme for this Mini Make Day was Wearable Art and concentrated on wearable technology, electronics and different methods to create different items to be worn.
The day was built around the Makers Alley which brought Melbourne Maker groups to the library to show off the different projects they have been making over the year. Workshops were open to the public to get some practical experience in the art of making, and presentations introducing what can be done with the merging of new technologies and traditional fashion methods.
This Mini Make Day had a great turn out, with the second level of Library at The Dock being filled with the public exploring and discovering what was on offer. Feedback has been great and we are looking at the next theme for Mini Make Day.
